Hey, I'm Melanie, and I make magic. Specifically I make the kind of magic that you can wear every day, and that serves as a reminder to step back from the daily nonsense and bullshit, and remember that you are amazing, this too shall pass, and things will be fine. Magical even.

I turned 50 during the pandemic. As I get older, I get more tired, I get more fed up, and truth be told, I get angrier. Here's the thing ... I've been working longer than the majority of my colleagues have been alive, and while they are smart, ambitious, awesome people, I don't want to hear their career advice. I'm frustrated that men with less experience and who are not as capable are making more money than me. I'm tired of judging myself on the basis of what society has been telling me my whole life -- eat healthier, exercise more, lose weight, "lean in", start a side hustle, spend more time with your kids. Menopause seems to have made me intolerant of bullshit.

If you're still reading, there's a good chance you feel the same way.

Here's the thing. None of this anger, frustration, or indignation serves us. Life is too short. So I turned to magic. Or, I should say, I turned back to magic.

Journey to Magic

I was born on Halloween -- magic has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Until it wasn't. I let that connection fade because life got busy. I forgot that magic is everywhere, I just need to remember to look for it.

Jewelry itself is magical. It can transform an outfit, it can express a feeling, it can make you feel safe and protected, or adventurous and bold. Jewelry is a physical reminder that magic is real.

So next time you're in a meeting where someone is mansplaining your job to you yet again, you can touch your green aventurine tree of life pendant, breathe in light, breathe out bullshit, and remember to send unconditional love to that mansplaining asshole. Or release your frustration and feel grounded by spinning the garnet bead in your spinner necklace. And when you just know that you'll be going into a day filled with endless nonsense, you can adorn yourself in advance with an onyx pentagram stone point and feel shielded and protected.

Things have power because you believe that they do. Everything here is designed to remind you to believe in your own power, your own magic. Magic is there, waiting for you to find it. I hope I can help you on the path to finding your own personal magic.
