Rooted in Wire, Memory, and Magic: A Tree of Life Workshop

Rooted in Wire, Memory, and Magic: A Tree of Life Workshop

On Saturday, September 13th, I’ll be offering one of my favourite hands-on workshops at the Ninth Wave Arts space in Carp — and I’d love for you to join me.

We’ll gather from 1pm to 4pm to craft our own tree of life pendants, using silver-plated or copper wire, and your choice of crystal beads. Whether you’re brand new to wirework or have tangled with pliers before, this workshop is designed to be welcoming, creative, and deeply grounding.

But it’s not just about jewelry.

The tree of life is a symbol that reaches through centuries and across cultures — an image of rootedness and growth, of connection between the seen and unseen worlds. For me, it’s personal. My mother was the one who first nudged me to try making tree of life jewelry when I began wire-wrapping back in 2016. Since then, I’ve made pendants, suncatchers, standing trees — and watched the symbol take root in my own life in unexpected ways.

My mom passed away this March, and the tree of life became something even more for me: a powerful reminder of her presence. Of the way we are all connected — above and below, past and future, branch to branch.

In this workshop, we’ll not only craft beautiful, one-of-a-kind pendants, but also take time to explore the symbolism and stories of the tree of life. You’ll learn how it appears in different traditions, and how it might be speaking into your life right now.

You’ll leave with:

  • A finished tree of life pendant to wear or gift

  • A deeper connection to a symbol that has stood the test of time

  • A sense of calm, inspiration, and quiet joy

All supplies are included in the $115 workshop fee, and the location is 4596 Carp Rd, Carp, Ontario.
